Alt Valley’s GOT Talent!

Young people from Alt Valley’s Contemporary Youth Theatre wowed audiences with their performance of Peter Pan on Saturday 20th June.

The play was performed to a packed house at Alt Valley Skills Centre. Everyone who attended the event thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The group’s director, Lucy Brown did a fantastic job of staging the play and we are very proud of all the young people who worked so hard on the play.

We are looking forward to the next one – well done everyone!

AVCT Receive Grant for Norris Green Project

AVCT was recently awarded a grant from Cobalt’s Community Fund. The funding is for a project called HOME.

We aim to stage an inter-generational community based play which focuses on and celebrates Norris Green’s 90th year. The play will be set in a house in Norris Green and will tell the story of all the occupants who have lived there.

We will be conducting a series of creative writing and oral history sessions to gather stories from the residents of Norris Green.

Some of these will be included in the play!

If YOU would like to talk about your memories of Norris Green and share your stories please get in touch with Paula Currie, Sharon Lee or Stephen Turner on 546 5514.
