Helping young people and adults into real work and education opportunities. Students come first at Alt Valley Communiversity. We empower students to take control of their futures by pursuing a career in a learning environment which is modern, purpose-built and relevant in supporting learning at all stages.
Quality is paramount to us – quality tutors, quality of learning, quality inspections that regularly reflect the highest standards that we set for ourselves and our students.
Our mission is not just about making a difference to individual people’s lives, but to contribute towards the creation of sustainable communities and neighbourhood transformation. We do this by:
- Fostering self-directed change and capacity building to shape a successful and sustainable future.
- Prioritising equality of opportunity and inclusivity.
- Creating innovative and inspirational partnerships.
- Committing to the creation of an enabling society and ensure that social justice lies at the heart of our working practices.
- Being a challenging organisation which acts as a change agent in local communities.
All of our Adult Education Courses are delivered through our Community Learning Programme, and are funded by Adult Learning Services LCC working in partnership with the Education and Skills Funding Agency, European Union Social Fund and the Liverpool City Region.
All of our learners have the right to feel safe when attending sessions, AVCT have robust Safeguarding and Complaints Policies and all tutors will adopt an open and honest culture where learners feel they can communicate with them about any concerns they have. Through this workers will be able to seek advice and guidance from other services.
