Festive Nail Workshop

This new exciting nail course is structured to introduce students to the basic understanding and practical skills they need to start a career in the nail and beauty industry. Students will learn about the different possible career pathways in the industry, the skills and qualifications needed for each role, and how to progress in their chosen career. Tutors will also help learners develop their communication skills and learn how to conduct themselves professionally when dealing with clients and other colleagues in a salon working environment.

This course is a great opportunity for someone to explore their creativity, develop their practical skills and begin to build their very own nail image portfolio. Existing nail technicians may benefit from this course by refreshing their current knowledge and expanding their practical skillset further.

  • Introduction to the course and the Nail industry. Including career pathways and goals
  • Basic health and safety in relation to the nail industry.
  • Client care and how to communicate
  • Nail product and brand recommendations
  • Festive nail art design methods and techniques including gel polish.
  • Promoting of products and services offered in the nail industry. How to build a strong clientele base and maintain a professional reputation.

To succeed in this course and in the nail industry you must be competent or be prepared to develop the following skills:

  • Basic Computer Skills: You’ll need to be comfortable using computers, as tasks like research methods, website creation, social media management, and require basic ICT skills.
  • Willingness to Learn: A desire to learn and adapt to the evolving and ever ever-growing nail industry is crucial. Be open to explore new products and creating new designs and techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication is vital in the industry. This includes verbal, visual and manual methods of communication.
