Yesterday, March 5th, the world paused to celebrate the power of reading, and here in Liverpool, our “hubs” were buzzing with energy. World Book Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it’s a reminder of how a single story can spark a lifelong passion for learning.
We held some incredible celebrations at The Communiversity and Dovecot MAC, two cornerstones of our community where the magic of stories truly came to life.
A Day of Imagination at Our Hubs
We love seeing the next generation of readers engage with books in such a vibrant way is exactly why these spaces exist.
Schools across Liverpool celebrated with some fantastic costumes as children bring their favourite book characters to life.
We’d love to see them. Share a photo of your child’s World Book Day costume in the comments and let’s celebrate the joy of reading together
Why the Hubs Matter
Places like The Communiversity and Dovecot MAC also provides essential services to the the Liverpool communities. They aren’t just buildings filled with shelves; they are safe havens for curiosity and growth. Events like these remind us that when we provide children with the tools to imagine, we are helping them build a brighter future.
“There is no friend as loyal as a book.” — Ernest Hemingway
